              Physics of Sports

              Picture
People have been playing sports for thousands of years, since we first started to walk on this Earth.

All of us - whether we watch sports or not - have seen astonishing displays of athleticism, skill, and luck.  We can all agree that many of these "impossible" performances are seen on a football field or on a basketball court.  Who can forget when Eli Manning made that incredible drive to beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl? Or when Andres Iniesta sneaked in the game winning goal to beat the Netherlands in the World Cup?

We've all seen amazing things on the field, from outstanding athletes.  But sometimes, these moments aren't created by the athlete.  Physics controls all movement, and ultimately controls how movement happens.

On this website, you can find the physics behind everything that's happening on the field and on the court.  You'll have a backstage pass to everything that is sports.
